Tsunami is one of the three goddesses mentioned in the OVA
series. She is the "Flagship of Jurai". And is thus the most powerful
of all Jurain ships. She has the ability to create ten lighthawk wings (Tenchi
can only form three and he managed to cut the Soja in half). Tsunami functions
as the brain of the ship and there is no captain (Sasami is the closest thing to
a commander that Tsunami has). Tsunami is the defender of the Royal Family. It has been her
duty since the rise of the royal family to protect them when they are in need.
This led to Tsunami's assimilation of Sasami. When Sasami grows up she will
become Tsunami and the two will become one. Tsunami had a hand in the escape of Princess Ayeka. As one might guess Ayeka
would be under heavy guard after a successful attack on the Royal Palace. So how
did she escape in Ryu-Oh. No one knows but Tsunami had to have a role in it. But
how would Tsunami know what Ayeka was planning? She would not know, but she
would know what Sasami was planning. Sasami stowed away in Ryu-Oh and knew what
Ayeka was planning. Thus, Tsunami knew and some how assisted them in their
escape. |
