If you haven't figured it out yet, Tenchi Masaki is the main
character in Tenchi Muyo. He is about as uncoordinated as a person can get yet
not as bad as Mihoshi. Tenchi's problems (blessings if you ask me) all began
when he opened the gate to cave where legends say Yosho sealed a demon. Tenchi
frees the demon who turns out to be Ryoko. Ryoko destroys Tenchi's school, not
really meaning to. Tenchi then met Ayeka who captured both him and Ryoko. Then
he meets Sasami who frees him. He cashes back to earth with Ryoko, Ayeka, and
Sasami. And the girls decide to move into Tenchi's house where he lives with hi
pervert of a father. Tenchi is very powerful. This seems to be known by everyone but
Tenchi, though. He has the power that comes from the blood of royal family of
Jurai. He can form three lighthawk wings but only in times of extreme stress,
such as being attacked by Kagato or falling into a black hole created by Dr.
Clay. While all of the girls strive to make Tenchi fall in love with
him, he never really chooses any of them because blatantly he is too shy. While Tenchi is powerful in the OVA throughout most of the series, he appears
much weaker in Tenchi Universe. In Tenchi Universe he shows very little power
until the end of the series during his fight with Kagato. His sword also differs
greatly. In the OVA the sword itself contains power which it draws from Tsunami,
while in Tenchi Universe it is only used to focus the Jurain power one already
possesses. Also in Tenchi Universe the sword does not hold Ryoko's gems. |
