It was during this attack that Sasami was killed by a damaged
Jurain battle ship fell into a nursery for trees where Sasami was playing.
She fell off a catwalk and was killed by the fall. However, Tsunami
revived Sasami by assimilating with her. Thus, Sasami and Tsunami are the
same yet separate beings. Sasami is first seen onboard Ayeka's Ryu-Oh. She stowed
away when she found out about Ayeka's plan to search for Yosho. It was
Sasami that freed Tenchi and had him attempt to steal Ayeka's headpiece.
She wanted the headpiece to control Ryu-Oh because it was Ayeka's
"key". Unfortunately, Tenchi failed and was chased away by Azaka
and Kamidaki and eventually freed Ryoko, who in a moment of desperation took
Sasami hostage. Sasami's major contribution to the group is that she is the only person who
can actually cook. While her talent is cooking, her true power is immense. I
won't spoil the main subplot line of the second OVA series but let's just say
she can form 10 lighthawk wings when she finally grows up. |
