Kagato was at one time a student of Professor Washu at the
Science Academy. He is believed to be of Jurain descent of some sort or another.
Kagato later turned against Washu after Ryoko's creation. Kagato captured Washu
and imprisoned her in the alternate dimension that exists in between the levels
of the Soja. Kagato has only one love: power. He was able to mimic the gems
created for Ryoko but not to the compact size. His are actually part of Soja but
are able to draw on more power at one time than Ryoko's. Kagato claims to have
created all of Washu's inventions but is in truth only a destructive lab boy. Kagato has only one goal in his life: capture the power of
Tsunami. Kagato has no idea of Tsunami's true power but has only seen Tsunami in
the form of a Jurain spaceship. Kagato was able to use his gems to control Ryoko
and forced her to make an attack upon the Royal Palace of Jurai. His plan was to
use Ryoko as a distraction to enable him to attack Tsunami. However, his plan
failed when Yosho chased Ryoko to Earth and removed her gems, cutting Kagato's
connection to her. Unable to attack Tsunami, Kagato began to approach Earth. He knows full well
that Yosho is on Earth along with Ryoko. His new plan is to draw out Tsunami by
attacking Earth directly with the full power of his gems, which will indirectly
place Yosho in danger. This he believes will bring Tsunami out of hiding. |
