Funaho and Misaki are the queens of Jurai. They are both the wives of Azusa, the Emperor of Jurai. Funaho is the First Queen of Jurai, that is Azusa's first wife.
She was an earthling but is wise beyond that of Azusa himself. The circle mark
in the center of her forehead symbolizes her title (First Queen of Jurai). She
serves as the ................ And is thus well informed of the situation on
Earth. She is Yosho's mother and easily sees through his disguise. Funaho,
however, came to Earth not only to see her son but to ask a favor of Washu. Washu
refuses to make copies of Ryoko and Ryo-Ohki to add to the might of the Jurain Space Armada. Misaki is the Second Queen of Jurai and the mark in the center of her
forehead symbolizes this title. Azusa married Misaki not only because of love
but also for political resins. These were that the nobles of Jurain society looked down upon earthlings as inferior. So to ease the growing conflict Azusa
married Misaki. Misaki is the "mentally unstable" mother of Ayeka and
Sasami. She is not insane, she just has a tendency to become over-emotional. She
serves as the chief bodyguard to Azusa. So you can see the problem (i.e. over-emotional
bodyguard). She tends to hurt people without even realizing it. Misaki does have
a good point though, she believes that anyone how is disrespectful to her family
should be severely punished (as one could guess Ryoko gets in trouble but is
saved by Sasami). |
