Ayeka is the first crown princess of the royal family of Jurai. That means that in the OVA should her father die and she actually get married she would be queen of Jurai. Being the first princess of Jurai means Ayeka has access to the Powers of Jurai that are found in the blood of the royal family.

Ayeka came to earth in search of Yosho her lost brother Yosho.  She traveled to Earth aboard her ship the Ryu-Oh.  However, it was Ryoko's power that led Ayeka to earth. Ayeka hates Ryoko because she blames Ryoko for her brothers disappearance. His disappearance was really because he could not take the prejudice of the nobles of Jurai who looked down on him because he was half earthling.

Ayeka always fights with Ryoko over Tenchi's attention. Originally betroved to marry Yosho (yes, she was going to marry her brother, it's not that big of a deal. In the story it was common on Jurai, and in reality, until recently, it was common amongst the royal families of almost all powerful nations. So just calm down)
